Brandi grew up in Portland, Oregon and is a proud University of Oregon Alumni with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. After graduating from college, the University of Oregon Alumni Association named her “One of Twenty-Five Ducks Who Would Change the World”. Determined to live up to that award she joined Teach For America and the fight for educational equity for all students.
Brandi’s passion to work with students in the field of education prompted her to obtain her Master’s Degree in Education at Louisiana College, which she attended while working as a teacher. During her time as a teacher in New Orleans, Brandi was awarded Teacher of the Year in her district two years in a row and was a finalist for Louisiana State Teacher of the Year. In 2017, Brandi joined Playworks, a national non-profit organization that is dedicated to increasing students social and emotional learning skills through the power of play.
In October of 2018, Brandi decided to leave Playworks and join Coaching4Change. C4C combines her passion for athletics and her passion for social and emotional skill building, as well as working to create an effective teacher pipeline through an entirely new lens. Brandi is currently working on her PhD in Higher Education and Leadership at Concordia University. She is authentic in all that she does and is excited to see what the journey with C4C holds for her and the students and teachers she will get the opportunity to serve in the state of Massachusetts.
