Yovanny Vargas

Yovanny is a lifelong learner, educator and artist whose professional experience over the last ten years spans almost every level of public education. As a college student, Yovanny started his career in non-profit, working as a mentor to students in Providence Public Schools. From there he spent time as a classroom teacher, a middle school dean and eventually a fellow working at the Rhode Island Department of Education on state level policy and programs. When Yovanny is not thinking about school reform and creating a more equitable system for all, you can find him painting, catching up on anime or (when the weather is nicer) enjoying the sun, listening to afrobeats and bachata.
