Gail O’Connor, Corporate Engagement Manager and Executive Liaison

Gail was born and raised in Newton, Massachusetts, where her lifelong love of reading shaped the course of her career. After college, she joined the New England Mobile Book Fair — at the time the largest independent bookstore in New England — and rose through the ranks to become Operations Manager. In 1995, she transitioned to the role of Trade Book Buyer at the Boston College Bookstore, and in 2007 shifted gears to join the Boston College Chief Executives Club, a membership organization for corporate CEOs. As Manager of Corporate Partnerships for the Club, Gail cultivated strong relationships with business executives throughout the greater Boston area and served as the primary point of contact for all member services.

In 2026, Gail joined Coaching4Change to pursue her passion for educational equity and giving back to the community and was drawn to C4C’s mission of supporting students in underserved school districts. She holds a degree in Education from UMass Amherst (1986) and a Graduate Certificate in Positive Youth Development from the Lynch School of Education at Boston College (2016). Over the decades, she has also volunteered with organizations including the Boston Partners in Education Read-Aloud Program, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay, and the Department of Children and Families. When not working with C4C, gail spends time as a Teacher’s Assistant at her local high school.

Outside of work, Gail enjoys traveling, baking, and teaching group fitness classes. She and her husband have three grown children and two adorable — but demanding — cats.
